Door County Trip

This past weekend we took our first overnight trip with Karina to Door County with Quentin, Lisa and Daisy. Karina and Daisy got along famously...we were only slightly concerned that Karina might have a stroke every time Daisy walked toward her. Karina would smile, gasp and become rigid, sticking her trembling arms and legs straight out in front of her because she was so thrilled to see Daisy.

Karina slept well and travelled like a trouper...making it to the beach and multiple restaurants...including the one with the goats on the roof (we think she saw them!), not to mention the 3 1/2 hour drive each way.

The only complication was some significant allergic reactions to environmental insults that Quentin and Lisa were negligibly affected by but Tom was severely sensitive to which made him quite miserable. Nonetheless he perservered and we all managed to have a good time. Hopefully we can try again next year and maybe Bob, Lee and Elsa and Katie and Nate will be able to come too!
