"Yea! No more shots until 2010...

Today Karina had her fifteen month check up...a little late because the doctor had to reschedule. Karina continues to be a big and tall kid, weighing in at 25lbs, 13oz (85th percentile...although this was with clothes on) and measuring 32.5 inches tall (so tall!), which is greater than the 95th percentile or "off the charts" as they say. The doctor "Oooh"-ed and "Ahhh"-ed about all of Karina's teeth, remarking especially about the molars. Karina was right on schedule with her social milestone of stranger anxiety and predictably cried every time anyone...the nurse, the medical student or the doctor...came into the room. If I held her and we stood in the far corner and the health care professional had her hand on the doorknob, then Karina's crying would cease otherwise it was "Wah, wah, WAH!" As usual, she recovered quickly...even after two shots...and was having fun interacting with Tom's colleagues in his office upstairs a few minutes later. The best news is that she won't need any more shots until 2010! Yea!
