A Day at Wind Lake

This weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to our friends, the Miller's home on Wind Lake. Although we've been out there before Karina was too young to remember it, so this was for all practical purposes her first boat ride and trip to the lake.

Sporting Jenna's goo-goo goggles (a name Karina borrowed from a Dr. Seuss book)

Tommy's first experience with the all-encompassing (literally) infant flotation device

The Millers have two children, Luke (age 8) and Jenna (age 7)(this is the Jenna who has given Karina so much clothing that we've named the clothing line Jenna-wear), so Karina had a great time with the big kids...especially Jenna. We took the boat out to the shallow area "beach" and there Karina got to play catch, squirt a gun and ride the inner tube alone and with Jenna.

It was a really warm day and poor Tommy's cheeks turned bright red almost immediately. I was really worried that he'd overheat. Luckily in the same way that he seems to like the motion of the car and falls asleep, Tommy fell asleep on the boat ride.

Enjoying an afternoon nap in the warm summer sun
